…but Max stepped into his private boat…

and waived good-buy

and sailed back over a year and in and out of weeks and through a day and into the night of his very own room

where he found his supper ready for him

and it was still hot.

About jfkaufmann

Not unlike my characters, I lead a double life: by day I'm a mother, a friend, a colleague, and the queen of my kitchen. When the moon rises, however, I shift into my other self and, as Queen of the Night, I reign the magical world of my imagination.

Yes. I wasn’t happy with the pour so I tries to improve it by transferring the image then coloring it.

Audrey, please don’t publish this comment.
I have to apologize for my late responses and my general neglect of the blogs and bloggers I like and follow. My mother died back in May, and since then, I just haven’t been my normal self. As you can tell, I don’t write for the blog; I started painting last spring when my mom fell ill because that was all I could do. I managed to finish a 100 page story (the third one in my Once Upon a Night collection. Given my current state of mind, it’s a huge achievement, but in fact it’s nothing comparing to my normal writing pace and my inner need to write.
I hope this is only temporarily.
I still read your blogs and enjoy them. The amaryllis post is lovely. If you just posted the photos, they’d tell the whole story.
